This research was funded by EMAKUNDE and promoted by the Land Transport Authority of Gipuzkoa (ATTG), a corporation established by public authorities with responsibility for transport in the province of Gipuzkoa (Basque Government, Provincial Government, municipalities and associations), and aims to act as the sole authority in that territory transport.
Under the 2010-2013 Strategic Plan of the Authority, special attention is given to actions to improve the transport network and in particular to the pursuit of equality among all people.
The main goal of this research is to "establish, from knowledge of the situation, a series of actions, measures and recommendations that may decrease or conducive to correcting inequality factors detected in Gipuzkoa transport system".
